Dr. David J. Hammond, Dr. Yi-Ming T. Harrison, Dr. Patrick R. Harrison, and staff would like to extend a warm welcome to Balcones Eyecare. Our office uses technologically advanced instrumentation to provide the best spectacle and contact lens prescriptions for you. We keep a large selection of designer eyewear for you to choose, and we stock many of our contact lenses for your convenience.

Our services include refractive surgery consultation and pre- and post-operative care. We diagnose, treat, or manage ocular health issues such as ocular allergies, eye infections, chronic dry eyes, cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. We also screen for and detect diseases of the body that show up in eyes such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and elevated cholesterol.

	Dr. Hammond is a native of Clearwater, FL. He graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, GA in '81 with a B.S. degree in biology. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston in 1985. He has been practicing in Austin since graduating. Dr. Hammond is a member of the Central Texas Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.

	Dr. Yi-Ming Harrison is a native of Houston, TX. She graduated from Cornell University in 1990 with a B.A. degree in psychology. Dr. Harrison received her Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1994 and was inducted into the international optometric honor society, Beta Sigma Kappa. She has been practicing in Austin since graduating. Dr. Harrison is a member of the Central Texas Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. She is married to Patrick Harrison, O.D., and they have two sons.

	Dr. Patrick Harrison is a native of Sanford, FL.  He graduated from Stetson University in 1985 with a B.S. degree in biology.  He served as an US Army chemical officer from 1985 to 1991.  Dr. Harrison received his Doctorate in Optometry when he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1994.  He has been practicing in Austin since graduating.  Dr. Harrison is a member of the Central Texas Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.
